                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF ST. ELMO AVENUE,
                   MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON
                   SATURDAY, JUNE 12, 1993 FOR THE "LOOKOUT
                   MOUNTAIN INCLINE RAILWAY REOPENING
                   CELEBRATION" SPONSORED BY THE CHATTANOOGA
                   AREA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY,
                   UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of St. Elmo Avenue between Tennessee Avenue and 

       Old Mountain Road from 7:30 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, June
       12, 1993, for the presentation of the "Lookout Mountain Incline
       Railway Reopening Celebration" sponsored by the Chattanooga Area
       Regional Transportation Authority.  The sponsors are responsible
       for the installation and removal of all traffic control devices
       (such as cones, barricades, signs, etc.) in accordance with the
       traffic control plan attached hereto.  The sponsors shall 
provide,
       at all times, an access lane for emergency vehicles.
